The Life of Donald Fournet Oser Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Catholic Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Donald Fournet Oser, Sr., 71, who passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at his residence in Lafayette surrounded by his family.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Neil Pettit, Associate Pastor of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will conduct the funeral services.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Marlene Oser; his son, Don Oser, Jr. and wife Keri; his daughter, Lisa Savoy and husband Randy; his step- children, Matt Koss and Vicki Chouest; his brother, Glen E. F. Oser, Jr.; his step-brother, Tony Broussard; and his grandchildren, Blake and Nicole Oser.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Verline Bernard Oser; his parents, Eleanor Fournet Oser Broussard and Glen E. F. Oser, Sr; and his step-father, Bruce Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Tony Broussard, Darrell Foreman, Randy Savoy, Scott Long, Garon Chouest, and Blake Oser.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Oser, Jr. and Michael Moss.

Donald Oser was a native of Lafayette, La. He honorably served his country in the Navy. He was on the Intrepid and participated in picking up the first man on the moon after landing. Donald was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and friends. He was married to his wife, Marlene for 16 years. Donald will be truly missed by those who knew him.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
