The Life of Thomas Vital Arnould Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2015 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Thomas Vital Arnould, 85, who passed away on October 9, 2015.
Father John Pardue will be Celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.
Thomas, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Paul Arnould and the former Viola Gros.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen S. Arnould; two daughters, Julie A. Thibodeaux and her husband, Rusty and Claire Arnould; one step daughter, Denise Dunand and her husband, Gerald; one son, Thomas Arnould, Jr.; one step son, Mike Sebastian; grandchildren, Eric Thibodeaux and his wife, Emily, Kevin Thibodeaux, Jake Dunand, Nick Dunand and Erin D. Domingue and her husband, Nicky; one sister, Julia Hernandez and her husband, Joseph; brothers, A. J. Arnould and his wife, Pat and Bobby Brasseaux and his wife, Bessie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Hazel P. Arnould; brother, Paul R. Arnould, Jr., sister, Ruth Richard, and one half-brother, Howard Foreman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 9:00 AM to time of service.
Mr. Arnould was a U. S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. Tom graduated from SLI after earning a Bachelor''s degree in Geology. He worked over 20 years for Crawford and Company as an automobile claims adjuster. Tom opened his own business, Coastal Claims, in 1978 and ran the business for over 25 years. He enjoyed many hobbies such as bronzing baby shoes, building cypress clocks, small engine repair, photography and videography. More recently he enjoyed his trips to the Casino. He loved his family and was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed.
