The Life of Georgie LeBlanc

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at a 2:00 PM Memorial Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Georgie LeBlanc, 91, who died on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Bethany Healthcare Center in Lafayette.

Inurnment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island, will officiate the services.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Mary Eve Radu; three grandchildren, Toby Degeytair, Aaron Degeytair, Sr. and his wife, Tori and April Degeytair Porter and her husband, Greg; six great grandchildren, Victoria, Ross, Brock, Aaron, Jr., and Lucas Degeytair and Havyn Porter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Saul LeBlanc, Sr. and Eve Alleman LeBlanc; one son, Donald James Degeytair; and three brothers, Chester, Harrison and Saul LeBlanc, Jr.

Georgie LeBlanc was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She worked for many years as a waitress before her retirement. Georgie loved dancing to Cajun music, and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.


The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 1:00 PM until time of services.
