The Life of Bruce Louis Baudoin
Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette, Louisiana for Bruce Baudoin, age 77. Bruce began his earthly journey May 18, 1938 in Lafayette, LA and it was finalized on Friday, August 21, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his immediate family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Evangelist Michael Green of the South College Road Church of Christ will officiate the service.
Leaving behind to cherish the memories, his wife of 57 years, Hazel Watson Baudoin, son, Bruce Louis Baudoin II and wife Tammi Phebus Baudoin, grandson Brendan Dale Baudoin of Lafayette, granddaughters Tara Nycole "Nyki" (Baudoin) Boulware and husband Chase Alexander Boulware, Tia Marie Baudoin and fiancé Norris Harris and Taylor Danielle Baudoin, twin grandsons Bruce Louis Baudoin III and Bryce Thomas Baudoin, great grand daughter Diamond Alexandria-Marie Harris of Columbus, MS. Brothers-in-law Harold H. Watson of Wetumpka, AL and Don C. Watson of Mount Ida, AR and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Bruce and Eula Trahan Baudoin, his grandparents Louis and Mary Baden Baudoin, brothers-in-law Hershel Ray and William Edward Watson and uncle and aunt Murphy Paul and Irene Mouisset Baudoin.
Bruce was a 1956 graduate of Lafayette Senior High School. He attended SLI (now UL-Lafayette) and was a proud member of the Pride of Acadiana Marching Band. He received his Honorable discharge from the United States Naval Reserve May 1963 having joined May 19, 1955. He was a member of the Naval Reserve Band.
Bruce''s career consisted of being a draftsman by trade, but through the years served in every capacity in the residential and commercial construction industry from lumber yard to construction superintendent in Louisiana and Florida. He was previously an active member of the Acadian Home Builders Association having reached life spike on a local, state and national level.
Bruce was a member of the South College Church of Christ, Freemason Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite 32, Shriner, Eastern Star and life member of Ancient Order of Camel Herders.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Louis Baudoin III, Bryce Thomas Baudoin, Brendan Dale Michael Baudoin, Chase Alexander Boulware, Brent Anthony Broussard and Norris Anderson Harris, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Dale Duhon, Harold H. Watson, Don C. Watson, Harold Herbert Watson, Jr., Douglas Marshall Watson, Danney Westley Watson and Larry Keith Watson.
The family requests that visitation hours will be held in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Thursday, August 27th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday August 28th from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM, followed by graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Bruce Baudoin''s name to the Miles Perret Cancer Services, 2130 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70508, 337-984-1920.
