The Life of Wallace R Millsaps

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 1:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Broussard for Pastor Wallace Millsaps, age 73, who died at 10:12 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at his residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Weldon Moak, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Broussard, Reverend Nick Peters, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Carencro and Rev. Tom Lambert, Pastor of Community Baptist Church, will officiate the services. Musical selections of "He Is the Lily of my Valley", "Amazing Grace" and "When He Was On The Cross, I Was On His Mind" will be rendered by Connie Pitre and Ronnie Bryant.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Ardoin Millsaps; two daughters, Suzanne M. Guidry and her husband, Kurt, and Pam Millsaps; three grandchildren, Krystin Moneaux and her husband, Shelby, Kody Guidry and Kimberly Millsaps. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Lynn Millsaps, his parents, Walter and Ethel Burroughs Millsaps, seven brothers and two sisters.

A native of Oakdale, Louisiana, Pastor Millsaps was currently Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jeanerette, LA. He was formerly a traveling salesman in the retail and wholesale industry.

Pastor Millsaps loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping, but his number one love was to visit the homebound and pray with them.

Pallbearers will be Kody Guidry, Shelby Moneaux, Bob Fogleman, Kurt Guidry, Louis Lancon, Bruce Watson and Garen Maples. Honorary pallbearers will be John Perkins and Greg Williams.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Friday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Broussard, 210 S. Morgan, Broussard, LA 70508 from 8:00 AM until time of the services.
