The Life of Norma Mary Prejean

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Norma Thibodeaux Prejean, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her residence.

Reverend Michael DeBlanc, Associate Pastor of St. Genevieve, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Norma, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Clayus Thibodeaux and the former Eunice Begnaud.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Prejean Rivera and husband Edgar, Patrick J. Prejean, Jacqueline Prejean Olinger, Catherine Prejean Potier and husband Monte; her grandchildren, Amanda Rivera Alvarez, Nicholas Olinger, Bryan Olinger, Heidi Champagne, Dustin Romero, Stephen Romero; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Brennan, Tyler, Vaughn, Vyctorhea, Valeigh and Cade; and her siblings, Willis Thibodeaux, Ethel Doiron and Clayus Thibodeaux, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of forty years Louis Prejean, Jr; her twin brother, Herman Thibodeaux,Sr.; and her sisters, Lurcy Dore and Clara Bell Desormeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 8:00 am until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Nick and Bryan Olinger, Monte Potier, Dustin and Stephen Romero and Larry Champagne.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
