Al was born on September 1, 1930 to Luitpold (Lippi) and Fanny Mendel Leonpacher. Above all, Al loved his Lord, his family, his friends and his community. He was a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and served in many capacities, with a special love of the choir. As the founder and owner of Southern Structures, he treasured his employees and enjoyed that his company provided for so many. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends, old and new. After spending the best time of the day in daily mass, Al joined his buddies for breakfast to solve the world''s problems. Another of his joys was his weekly Pius prayer group. Al especially enjoyed his grandchildren, rejoiced in their accomplishments and loved spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Belaire Leonpacher, daughter, Jenifer Leonpacher and her husband, James Davis, daughter, Leslie Leonpacher, daughter in law, Maria Breaux and her husband, Mike, grandchildren, Dr. Anne Leonpacher, Andrew Leonpacher and his wife, Alex, and Michael Leonpacher, stepdaughter, Ann Comeaux, stepson, Morris Belaire III and wife, Shara, stepson, Chris Belaire, step grandchildren, Douglas Comeaux, Camille Comeaux, Adley Belaire, and Morgan Belaire, sister in law, Rosie Leonpacher, brother, Robert Leonpacher, and sister, Margaret Palma and her husband, Alfred.

Thanks to Dr. Dobbs and Dr. Doga, and the many others who cared for him over the years. A special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana who so beautifully and compassionately helped ease Al''s transition to eternal life.
