The Life of Vicci Francis Guillet

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette for Vicci Francis Lanier Crouch Guillet, age 64, who died on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her home in Lafayette.

Reverend Howard J. Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Penny Young and Susan Webb. Giftbearers will be Jackson Crouch, Brooklyn Crouch and Jenessa Guillory. Musical selections for the services will be, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "Be Not Afraid" and "I Can Only Imagine", accompanied on the organ by Karen Broussard.

Survivors include her husband, John Guillet, Jr.; her father, Eugene "Doc" Lanier; five sons, Jodie Ernest Crouch III and partner Jasen Bragg, Jesse Eugene Crouch and his wife Kayla, Joseph Solomon and his wife Danielle, John Guillet III and his wife, Francelle and Michael Guillet and his wife, Julie; five grandchildren, Jackson Crouch, Brooklyn Crouch, Kyriana Solomon, Emily Guillet, and Logan Guillet; one sister, Dayle Lanier Guillory and one brother, Vance Eugene Lanier and wife Liz.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Erie Lee Parent; one nephew Jude Guillory and one brother in law, Terry Guillory.

Mrs. Guillet was born on September 3, 1950 in Baton Rouge, LA and was a resident of Lafayette for many years. She enjoyed Dragon Boating and Paddeling for a cure for the race. Mrs. Guillet taught Catechism at Holy Cross Church, Jr. Achievement adviser at Edgar Martin and a Special Olympics volunteer. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them at their many sporting events. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Vance Lanier, Sean Lanier, Micah Lanier, Joseph Solomon, John Guillet III and Michael Guillet.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Duhon, Jean Parent, Dewayne Williams and Wayne Williams.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Liz Lanier.
