The Life of Carroll Joseph Leblanc

LAFAYETTE ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at an 10:00 a.m. Liturgy of the word service in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel for Carroll LeBlanc, age 69, who passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Cemetery. Deacon Randy Hyde, will officiate at the services.

Mr. LeBlanc was a native of Youngsville and a resident of Lafayette where he retired from CNC Pest Control with over 10 years of service. Mr. LeBlanc was well known, making his rounds to many of the local businesses especially Mel’s Diner and Starbucks. He loved to listen to 101.1 KBON faithfully. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends and especially his 8 grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Richard Connell and his wife, Anna, of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Tricia Diann Connell-Venable and her husband, Jeremy and Marie Leger and her husband, Burt, all of Lafayette; one brother, LeRoy Vice; three sisters, Stella Trahan and her husband, Junior, Mary Lou Suire and Helen Liner, all of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Jensen Leger, Blaise Leger, Amber Myers, Julia Connell, Oleg Connell, Mason Connell, Tristan Connell and Savannah Connell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hyde; his parents, Lovelace LeBlanc and the former Paula Vice and one brother, Jimmy LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Frederick, Burt Leger, Jensen Leger, Rocky Bernard, Jeremy Venable and Lenny Mier. Honorary pallbearer will be Karl Folse.

Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel of Carencro, 4117 N. University Ave. (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
