The Life of Velvet Fern Fournerat
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers on Bertrand for Velvet Fournerat, 61, who passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Visitation will be observed on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pastor Kelly Segura of Family Life Church of Lafayette will conduct the funeral services.
Velvet was born in Galveston and lived most of her life in Scott. She was a nurturer to all animals, welcoming all strays and loved telling stories about "the good ole days". She enjoyed spending time with her family and Dennis, her husband and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Vaughn Fournerat; one granddaughter, Alyssa Duplantis; and her beloved, Dennis Falterman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Humbird.
