The Life of Harlan Blane Brasseaux

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at 10:00 AM at The Bayou Church, 2234 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette, for Blane Brasseaux, 58, who died on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, La.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Mike Walker, Pastor of The Bayou Church will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include his two sons, Brett Brasseaux and Trent Brasseaux; his sisters, Marla Jagneaux and her husband Richard, and Sandra Elkins and her husband Lonnie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Faye Brasseaux; and his parents, Hamilton and Vurly Brasseaux.

A native of Church Point and a resident of Lafayette, Blane was a graduate of Church Point High School. He worked for many years as a sales consultant with Macro Oil and currently with Martin Energy. His joys were golfing, restoring his 1983 Chevy C-10 truck, social outings in Lafayette, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Pallbearers will be will be family and friends.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in Blane Brasseaux''s name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, www.komen.org in honor of Blane''s late wife, Karen Faye Brasseaux.
