The Life of Lois Dale Rogers

Lafayette native Lois Rogers, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister, was born August 10, 1930 and died February 17, 2015. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and member of the 1947 runner-up state champion ladies basketball team. Family gatherings (with boiled crawfish), flowers (gladiolas being her favorite), and LSU football were her passions.
She was pre-deceased by her father Earl E. Raggio, Sr.; mother Aurore’ Doucet Raggio; husband Clyde E. Rogers and sister Elizabeth Raggio Moore. She is survived by her brother Earl E. Raggio, Jr. and wife Catherine; sister Virginia Raggio Thayer; her sister-in-law Cora Mae Rogers; daughter Debbie Rogers Atchison and husband Haynes; sons Rodney D. Rogers and wife Cindy, Michael J. Rogers and wife Joy, Kirk P. Rogers and wife Kathy, and Tracy A. Rogers and wife Brenda; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 28, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Delhomme Funeral Home, Lafayette LA with a concluding memorial prayer offering beginning at 3:30 in the Funeral Home Chapel.
