The Life of Mary Ann Hebert

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Mary Ann Albarado Hebert, age 79, who passed away at 5:20 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Garrett McIntyre, Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Lectors will be Dawn Hebert Womack and Leslie Thibodeaux. Eucharistic Minister is Mike Marks. Giftbearers are her great grandchildren. Jodi Bollich will sing, "Amazing Grace", "Here I Am Lord", "Be Not Afraid", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Isaiah 49".

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Hebert Roger and her husband, John Roger, Sr. of Lafayette; one son, Charles Maxie Hebert, Sr. and his wife, Pamela Naquin Hebert of Cecilia; nine grandchildren, John A. Roger, Jr. "John Boy" and wife Nacona, Joseph Glen Roger "Joe" and wife Christina, Wilerd A. Roger "Willy" and wife Tanna, Jacob Eric Roger and wife Shelly, James Adam Roger and wife Nikki, Charles Maxie Hebert, Jr. and wife Angie, Desiree Hebert Thomas and husband Donnye, Dawn Hebert Womack and husband Kory, and Donnafa Jill Prejean; three step grandchildren, Amie Johannes, Kristopher Johannes and Noah Bergeron; sixteen great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; one brother, Dudley Albarado; and her sisters in law, Annie Loyce Richard and Vergie Albarado.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Maxie Hebert; one daughter, Debra Ann Hebert Prejean; her parents, Felix Albarado, Sr. and Zeolide Domingue Albarado; three sisters, Eva A. Hebert, May Alice LeBlanc and Mary Eve Albarado; eight brothers, Leonce, Felix Jr., Stafford, Oran, Lloyd, Allen, Simon Dolar, and Joseph Fred Albarado.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of Scott all of her life, Mary Ann was lovingly known to everyone as "Ma Mom". She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved fishing, watching her soap operas, word search puzzles, playing Pokeno, and attending family gatherings. She will be deeply missed.


The family would like to thank the 7th floor nursing staff, and the ICU nursing staff and doctors at LGMC for the kind support and prayers they offered to Ma Mom during her time of need.

A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday at Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN from 10:00 AM, with an all night visitation until time of service on Monday.

Pallbearers will be John A. Roger, Jr., Wilerd Roger, Joseph Glen Roger, Jacob Roger, James Roger and Charles M. Hebert, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Brian Roger, Zachary Roger, Mason Roger, Brylan Roger, Kristopher Johannes, Zack Thomas and Noah Bergeron.
