The Life of Melvin Wayne Domingue

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, for "Bubba" Wayne Domingue, 59, who passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at his home in Lafayette, after a lifelong battle with cancer. Mr. Domingue''s brother, Reverend Kenneth Domingue, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Concelebrant will be Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church.

Interment will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bubba was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, a 1971 Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 19 and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army Military Police, Deputy Sheriff with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff Department under Sheriff Carlo Listi and was a Petroleum Landman. Bubba will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Alison Byron; three children, Alyssa Claire Tarver, Sarah Elizabeth Domingue and Jason Wayne Domingue and his wife Brooke; four grandchildren, Cole Michael Domingue, Alexander Cole Chitwood, Allie Elizabeth Domingue and Cade Matthew Domingue; one sister, Pamela Ann Domingue and her companion Chris; two brothers, David Domingue and his wife Kelly and Rev. Ken Domingue; his mother, Margaret "Maggie" Patin; and step-mother, Emma Lou Domingue.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Melvin Domingue; step-father, Dudley J. Patin; and one sister, Wonnie Domingue Boehnlein.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed in Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand on Monday, March 2, 2015, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be George J. Forest Jr., James Lee Trahan Sr., David B. Domingue, Jason W. Domingue, Floyd Joey Domingue and Russell Leger. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Mountain Family from Canton, Texas.
