The Life of James Harold Prejean Jr.

James Harold Prejean Jr., age 72, died at his home in Lafayette, LA Friday, February 20th, 2015.
Mr. Prejean died of natural causes.
Born February 17th, 1943 in Opelousas, LA, Mr. Prejean lived most of his life in Lafayette.
Mr. Prejean worked at Fleming Foods as a warehouseman until retiring in 2005.
Harold was a member of the Lafayette Genealogy Society and a longtime volunteer at several other Genealogy clubs.
Mr. Prejean was an enthusiastic craftsperson creating many 3 dimensional sculptures from an assortment of raw materials.
After graduating from Lafayette High School in 1961, Harold briefly served in the United States Navy.
Then attended Southwest Louisiana Vocational Technical School, graduating in 1966 with an associate’s degree in Architectural drafting.
Survivors include his mother: Bessie D. Prejean of Lafayette, LA; Sisters: Linda P. Hargrave, of Duson, LA, and Kay P. Thibeaux of Houston, TX; Brothers: Henry A. Prejean of Arnaudville, LA, and Ben A. Prejean of Lafayette, LA.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, James Harold Prejean Sr.
Burial and memorial service will be held at Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery on Johnston St. in Lafayette at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 24th.
St. Jules Catholic Church Deacon Reggie Bollich will preside over the burial and memorial service.
Relatives and friends are welcome at the burial and memorial service.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
