The Life of Monica Gossen

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Monica "Mona" Dischler Gossen, 80, who died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Camelot of Broussard.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Michael J. Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Maureen G. Bartlett and her husband Bob; one brother, Martin Dischler; and one sister Helen Robles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Conrad and Helena Maria Zaunbrecher Dischler; two sisters Antonia Leger and Pauline Roy.

Mona was a native of Rayne, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette for over 60 years. She worked as a realtor in the Acadiana area for many years, and was a member of the Board of Realtors. Mona was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, where she served on the Ladies Altar Society, and she was also a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church . She was a loving mother, sister, and friend, and she will be dearly missed by all.

We have loved her in life, let us not forget her after death. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 8:30 AM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 8:00 AM until the time of services.

Memorial Donations can be made in Mona''s name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street #200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
