The Life of Annaise Latiolais

LAFAYETTE-Annaise (Nie) Latiolais, 95, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 1 PM in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Deacon Jim Davis will officiate the graveside services.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Latiolais and his wife, Marjorie; one daughter, Hazel Ann Latiolais and her husband, Archie; three grandsons, Shawn Leger, Gerald Latiolais, Jr., and Kenna Latiolais and his wife, Rodna. Other close family members include her nieces, Jane Walker Gates, Debbie Kellogg, Diana Kellogg Soward, Dawn Kellogg Kinsella, and Dru Kellogg Talbot; and one nephew, Danni Dugas.

Mrs. Latiolais was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Latiolais; one son, Paul Latiolais, Jr.; her parents, Jim and Lidney Kellogg; one brother, Lewis Kellogg; one sister, Mary Jane Kellogg; one grandson, Todd Leger; and four nephews, David Walker, Charles (Chuck) Walker, Dirk Kellogg and Dwayne Kellogg.

Annaise (Nie) Latiolais was born in Henderson, Louisiana on June 5, 1919 and was a resident of Lafayette since 1939. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Latiolais'' caregivers during her last few months, Susan Hargrave, Crissy, and Pam. The family also appreciates the extra effort extended by Jane and Royce Gates for their kindness, compassion, and support given to Mrs. Latiolais and her family during their time of need.
