The Life of Emma Marie Lester
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Emma Marie Lester, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 4:04 pm at Camelot of Broussard.
Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of Saint Genevieve Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Emma, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Joseph Melancon and the former Lucille Hollier.
She is survived by her daughters, Madlyn Emma Comeaux, and Carla Ann Smith and her husband BB Smith; grandchildren, Joanie Comeaux Mouton, Jennifer Korner; great grandchildren, Logan Comeaux Cameron Mouton and Brennan Korner; nephew Alfred Varisco and wife Lona; and her sister in law Billie Melancon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Sherley Carl Lester; her son-in-law, Jerry Lee Comeaux, four sisters, and one brother.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 8:00 am until time of service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Camelot of Broussard for the care they gave to Emma.
