The Life of Cynthia Gayle Andrus

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette, for Cynthia "Cindy" Gayle Andrus, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at her home in Covington.

Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

She is survived by her son, Jason Friedman; her father, Clarence Joseph Andrus; five siblings, Sue Andrus, Ronnie Andrus and his wife Lisa, Richard Andrus and his wife Pam, Elizabeth Andrus and Robert Andrus; and four nieces, Victoria, Maci, Shelbie (Godchild) and Sydnie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertie Vallot Andrus.

Cindy, as she was more affectionately known, was a native of Lafayette and lived a large part of her life in the Covington/Mandeville area. She enjoyed the outdoors, had a passion for sailing, traveling, going on cruises and riding her bike on the lakefront. Cindy will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed in Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
