The Life of Wendy Denise Snelling

LAFAYETTE- Celebration of Life services for Wendy Denise Snelling, 44,will be 11:00AM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at The East Bayou Church on Kaliste Saloom Road with Brother Mike Walker and Andy Tribe officiating.Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at David Funeral Home and will resume Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at East Bayou Chruch from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery on Pinhook Road.

Wendy passed away Friday October 17, 2014 in Ocean Springs, MS She was born September 26, 1970 in Thibodaux, LA to James Alvin and Cathy Dykes Snelling.
She attended Ovey Comeaux High School and was a long time employee of Stuller Inc.

She was currently employed with Jodi’s Café and Receptions. Wendy was an amazing mother and loved her children immensely. She had a big heart, a fiery attitude, and her bright smile could light up any room. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her life ended how she lived it, selflessly. Her legacy will live on in her children.

She is survived by her parents; her fiancé Randy Dardar; two sons Devon James Snelling and wife Melissa of Broussard and Hunter Ryan Viator of Lafayette; one sister Julie Snelling Prem and husband Mike of Broussard; one brother Steven Ray Snelling and wife Jodi of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Dewitt and Irene Snelling and her maternal grandparents Woody and Lorraine Sullivan
Serving as her Pallbearers will be Devon Snelling, Hunter Viator, Christopher Snelling, Jeffery Gwyn, Randy Landry, and Vincent Dardar.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Chance McGee and Justin Gray.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
