The Life of Stella Ann Benoit
Funeral services will be held on Monday October 13, 2014 at a 1:30PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Stella Ann Benoit, 64, who died on Friday, October 10, 2014 at University Medical Center in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Christopher Benoit. Giftbearers will be Nathan Fuentes, Damian Breaux and Fallon Benoit.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Touchet and Debbie Benoit Adams; one son, Craig James Benoit and wife Tracey Benoit; one sister, Mildred Baudoin; three brothers, John Stanley Hulin, Harry James Hulin and Kenneth Paul Dugas; eight grandchildren, Seth Montet, Ashley Montet, Rocky Touchet, Jade Adams, Gage Smith, Nathan Fuentes, Damian Breaux, Fallon Benoit, and one on the way; and three great grandchildren, Madisyn Guilbeau, Mackenzie Guilbeau and Ayden Touchet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry James Benoit; her parents, Lovias Hulin and Evelyn Savoy Hulin; and several half brothers and sisters.
Stella Ann Benoit was a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Rayne for most of her life. She loved to tailgate for ULL. Stella had a green thumb when it came to tending her garden. She also had a passion for sewing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be John Hulin, Harry Hulin, Craig Benoit, Kenneth Benoit, Gage Smith and Rocky Touchet. Honorary pallbearers will be Jade Adams and Chris Benoit.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
