The Life of Robert Paul Bennett

Robert Paul Bennett, 71 years old, born December 19, 1942 passed away peacefully on Monday September 29 surrounded by his family at his residence.

Paul was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended SLI (ULL). He served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve and enjoyed cooking, horticulture, hunting and cajun music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Bennett and his mother, Mary Catherine (Katie) Bennett.

He is survived by two brothers, Richard Bennett and his wife Barbara of Phoenix, AZ and Ron Bennett and his wife Sylvia of Lafayette; one son, Bryant Bennett and his wife, Jamie and two grand children of Houston, Texas.

Paul was an LPN in his latter years and worked to assist elderly patients in need of care at a retirement facility.

There will be a private ceremony of family members to commemorate Paul''s wishes.

Inurnment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
