The Life of Sharon Yvonne Borel
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at a 10:00 AM Communion Service in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette for Sharon Yvonne Borel, 56, who died on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Nelson Schexnayder, will conduct the funeral services. Music selections will be, "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman," "Ave Maria," "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid" and "On Eagles'' Wings."
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters, Catherine Borel Boutte and her husband, John, Diana Borel Viator and her husband, Peter and Phillis Borel; three brothers, Jeffery Borel, Ralph Borel and Daniel Borel; six nieces, Alaina Viator Primeaux and her husband, Nicholas, Kristina Viator, Bridget Borel Tilley, Brooke Borel, Caitlyn Borel and Danielle Boutte Mathews; two nephews, Jeremy Viator and his wife, Jennifer and Chad Boutte and his wife, Kimberly; eight great nieces, Ainsley Primeaux, Samantha Viator, Kristen Boutte, Kaylie Boutte, Cassie Tilley, Tabitha Tilley, Samantha Mathews and Morgan Mathews; four great nephews, Erik Viator, Kyle Boutte, William Welch and Braden Tilley; and one great-great nephew, Emery Boutte.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Borel and Noemie Beverly Folse Borel; and her grandparents, Dernice Dupuis Folse and Clabert Paul Folse, and Eugenie Bijeaux Borel and Dalson Borel.
Sharon Borel was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She was an avid reader, a member of a book club, loved traveling, going out to dinner with fellow co-workers and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
