The Life of Edith Mae Munro

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Edith Rudge Munro, 88, who died on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Woody Gunnels of New Hope Fellowship in Eunice, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Munro of Lafayette; one daughter, Cindy B. Dupont and her husband, Gene A. Dupont of Carencro; three sons, James W. Butler and his wife, Charlette Deshotels Butler from Eunice, John R. Butler and his wife, La Butler of Lafayette and Jay L. Butler of Lafayette; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Glawson of New Orleans; and one brother, Paul Uccello and his wife, Merna "Bubbles" of Houma.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Farrell Rudge; her father, Orvey Rudge; one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Butler; and two sisters, Sherry Gerace and Marguerite Foti.

A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Munro loved to shop and spend time with her pets and attending to her flowers. She greatly enjoyed needlework as a hobby. Edith was very patriotic and was a member of the Republican Women''s Association.

Pallbearers will be James W. Butler, John R. Butler, Jay L. Butler, Joah Butler, Marcus Marullo and Scott Mine.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kim Foti, Gene Dupont and Paul Uccello.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
