The Life of Archie J Brasher

Funeral Services for Mr. Archie J. “O.T.” Brasher, 82, will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette with Gary Schexnayder officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of Milton and a resident of Arnaudville, Mr. Brasher died at 5:20AM on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Maison de Lafayette. He was known for his enjoyment of hunting and
fishing.

He is survived by a son, Hugh Brashier and his wife Michelle of Lafayette; three daughters, Pam Moreau of Lafayette, Sheila Perrodin and her husband Blaine of Lafayette, and Glenda Faulk and her husband Ken of Porter, TX; a brother, Gilbert Brasher of Youngsville; two sisters, Lillian Brasher of Lafayette and Marion Higginbotham of Youngsville; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his companion of 12 years, Betty Guidroz; his parents, Antoine and Odeide Trahan Brasher; a daughter, Brenda Robin; and a brother, Allen Brasher.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hugh Brashier, Ryan Brashier, Jared Brashier, Ricky Moreau, Jr., Andy Brasher, and Philip Higginbotham.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Brasher and Doug Faulk.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Maison de Lafayette and St. Joseph Hospice for the care they gave Mr. Brasher.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the
arrangements.
