The Life of Patrick Ray Breaux
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014, at a 3:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church in Lafayette, for Patrick Ray Breaux, 66, who died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Reverend Steven C. LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services, assisted by Deacon Thomas R. Sommers. Present in the Sanctuary will be The Most Reverend, Michael Jarrell, Bishop, Diocese of Lafayette. Lectors will be Jodi B. Bordelon and Sheri B. Delhomme. Giftbearers will be Jake Delhomme, Dylan Bordelon and Joshua Lemoine. Karen Melancon, accompanied on the organ by Kevin Martin, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "Hail Mary Gentle Woman" and "Be Not Afraid".
Survivors include the mother of his children, Linda Landry Breaux; two daughters, Jodi Breaux Bordelon and Sheri Breaux Delhomme and her husband, Billy; his mother, Lucille Melba Mire Breaux; his twin brother, Michael James Breaux and his wife, Helen Hidalgo Breaux; and three grandchildren, Jake Delhomme, Dylan Bordelon and Joshua Lemoine. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Breaux.
Pat worked for 40 years for the Diocese of Lafayette as the Marketing Director for Acadiana Catholic. He loved gardening, music, dancing and cooking. Pat loved spending time with his family. "Gramps" was very proud of his grandsons whom he adored.
Pallbearers will be Jake Delhomme, Dylan Bordelon, Joshua Lemoine, Billy Delhomme, Steve Perry, John Thevenote, Jules Lorio and Harold Lee Keys.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of the service.
A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 6:00 PM by Deacon Thomas R. Sommers in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
