The Life of Mary Joyce Broussard
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Mary Joyce Domingue Broussard, 75, who passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Andre Metrejean, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary was born in Duson, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a 1957 graduate of Scott High School. She was a long time business owner “Mary Broussard Tours Inc.” in Lafayette. Prior to MDB Tours she was a banker beginning with Guaranty Bank. She had many roles at the bank may be most well known for being the first branch manager of the then “USL” campus location.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald J. Broussard Sr.; her brother, Raymond Domingue and wife Genita; two daughters, Shiela Broussard Reese and Sheryl Broussard; three sons, Gerald J. Broussard, II and wife Julie, Gordon Broussard and wife Alice, and Garret Broussard and wife Meera; her grandchildren, Billy Reese and wife Lauren, Courtny Broussard Stephens and husband Terry, Joey Speyrer and wife Melissa, John Broussard, Victoria Speyrer, Alec Arceneaux, Clayton Reese and one great grandchild; Baylee Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Maria Domingue and her brothers, Dennis Domingue, Oran Domingue, Wilson Domingue, and Joseph "J.C." Domingue.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home in Scott, Louisiana on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 9:00pm. Visiting hours will continue on Wednesday from 7:00am until time of service.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 705 Marie Street, Scott, Louisiana is in charge of funeral arrangements.
