The Life of Marie Louise Broussard
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Marie Louise Grossie Broussard, 94, who died on Friday, July 18, 2014 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Brian James Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Giftbearers will be Brittany Broussard and Kerrie Denias. Musical selections will be, "Amazing Grace," "Isaiah 49," The Old Rugged Cross," and "All That I Am."
Survivors include, one daughter, Virginia Broussard Denais of Lafayette; two sons, Steve Broussard and his wife, Francine Trahan Broussard of Lafayette and Raymond J. Pellerin of Lafayette; twelve grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Della Grossie Gallet and Mealise Grossie Angelle; and one brother, Maxime Grossie, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Luke Broussard; first husband, James Pellerin; her parents, Maxime, Sr. and Cornnie Ducharme Grossie; and four brothers, Gaston Grossie, Paul Grossie, Frank Grossie and Wilfred Grossie.
A Wake Service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''''s DOWNTOWN location by Reverend Nicholas Dupre, CJC.
The family requests that visiting hours will be observed on Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Steve Broussard, Raymond J. Pellerin, Brent Denias, Kevin Denias, Eric Denias, and Chase Trahan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Julia Wade, Brittany Broussard and Angella Denais.
The Broussard Family would like to give thanks to Debora Cormier from Hospice of Acadiana and a very special thanks to Julia Wade and family for the great care they provided at Mrs. Broussard''''s time of need.
