The Life of John Francis Guarisco
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at an 11:00 AM Catholic Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for John Francis Guarisco, 63, who died on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Millard Boyer will conduct the Catholic Services. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Isaiah 49," "The 23rd Psalm," "Ave Maria," and "On Eagles'' Wings."
Survivors include his beloved wife, Anne Guarisco; two daughters, Shannon Matherne and her husband, Matthew and Erin Guarisco; two sons, John Guarisco, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer and Shawn Guarisco and his wife, Kristin; five grandchildren, Layla, Jackson, and Kayla Matherne and Hayden and Rylee Guarisco; four brothers, Dr. Joseph Guarisco and his wife, Cristina, Peter Guarisco, Tommy Guarisco, and Chris Guarisco and his wife, Mari; and one brother-in-law, Emile "Bubba" Peroyea and his wife, Suzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter John Guarisco and Sadie Lucy Morella Guarisco, and his nephew, Gabriel Guarisco.
John Francis Guarisco was born in Morgan City, Louisiana on July 24, 1950. He graduated from Northeastern University in Monroe (now ULM) with a degree in accounting and worked as Regional Controller for Frank''s International. Mr. Guarisco was an avid runner at Red''s, and enjoyed spending time at his camp on 3 Mile Lake. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be John Guarisco, Jr., Shawn Guarisco, Dr. Joseph Guarisco, Peter Guarisco, Tommy Guarisco, Chris Guarisco and Nick Guarisco.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
