The Life of Ouida A McClinton
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at an 11:00 AM Service at Lafayette Memorial Park Peace Chapel Mausoleum in Lafayette, for Ouida Ellison McClinton, 85, who died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence in Livonia, La.
Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Peace Mausoleum.
Reverend Freddie Rodrigue, Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Livonia, will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Belmont and her husband of New Market, AL.; a son, Rickie McClinton and his wife Terry of Broussard, LA.; one sister, Joy Davis; three brothers, J.E. Ellison, W.H. Ellison, and Jack Ellison; her grandchildren, Tara Todd and her husband Benjamin, Kellie Newchurch and her husband Jason, Bryan McClinton and his wife Amanda; and great grandchildren, Kailyn, Megan, Zachary, Kamryn, Lauren, Grant, Holland, Ethan, Liliana, and Jase.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert B. McClinton; her parents, Elijah and Annie Evans Ellison; two sisters, Rhoda Faye Tipton and Juanita Ellison; and two brothers, John Ellison and Earnest Ellison.
Ouida was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity and selflessness.
Pallbearers will be Bryan McClinton, Jason Newchurch, Benjamin Todd, and Lonnie Smith.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
