The Life of Ryan Louis LeJeune

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette for Ryan Louis LeJeune, 38, who died on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Reverend Harold Trahan, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Rev. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will be the concelebrant. Lectors will be Matthew LeJeune and Rhiannon LeJeune. Giftbearers will be Mary Garrett and Elsie Hebert. Deborah Duhon will play the organ for the service.

Ryan was born in Lafayette and attended Broadmoor Elementary School, Edgar Martin Middle School, and Lafayette High School.
He attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana, receiving his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, and was in the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He received his Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Ryan completed an internship with the BASF Corporation. He was employed as an Environmental Chemical Specialist at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in 2001 and 2002.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Russell and Denise Landry LeJeune of Lafayette; three brothers, Robley Jean LeJeune of Lafayette, Mark Andrew LeJeune and his wife Rhiannon, and their children William Joseph LeJeune and Eliana Katherine LeJeune of Woodland, CA., and Matthew Steven LeJeune of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph Robley Landry and Denise Landry Coulter, and his paternal grandparents, Elven Louis LeJeune and Eliza Breaux LeJeune, and his aunts Mary Helen Landry Judice and Patricia Ann LeJeune Granger.

Pallbearers will be his brothers, Robley, Mark and Matthew LeJeune and Harvey Bernard, Michael LeJeune, and Raymond Landry.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 7:30 AM until time of services at Martin & Castille SOUTHSIDE location.
