The Life of Donald Russell Miguez
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers in Lafayette, for Donald Russell Miguez, 79, who passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Donald Miguez is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred Thibodeaux Miguez; two daughters, Brenda Webb and Darlene Miguez; three sons, Donald "Matt" Miguez and his wife Donna, Carl J. Miguez and his wife Laura and Gerald A. Miguez and his wife Stephanie; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Rodriguez, Rachelle Webb, Kayla Menard, Melissa Soileau, Summer Miguez, Shallan Richard and Gunner Miguez; two step-grandchildren, Megan Richard and Hannah Richard; six great grandchildren, Evan Menard, Olivia Soileau, Abigail Soileau, Zoe Richard, Sophia Rodriguez and Ava Boudreaux; and two brothers, Louis Miguez and his wife Mae Rose and Wayne Miguez and his wife Francis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Miguez, Sr. and Marie Rousselle Miguez; and one brother, Mark Miguez, II.
A native of Crowley and a resident of Lafayette for most of his life, Don worked for Hughes Tool Company for 19 years, six years for Reamco, Inc. and an owner of Magnoila Torque and Testing for the past 33 years. He was a very giving man and a generous soul, who was devoted to his children and dedicated to his work. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed in Delhomme Funeral Home on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 12:00 PM (Noon) to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Monday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
