The Life of Lascom Edwin Murphey Jr.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Lascom E. "Tiny" Murphey, Jr. 85, who passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 9:10 pm at his residence.
Reverend Daniel Edwards, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place at a later date in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.
Tiny, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the son of the late Lascom Murphey, Sr. and the former Madeline Rachal.
Tiny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and best friend. He will be loved and missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty four years, Ruth Ann Murphey; his two sons, Lascom E. Murphey, III "Ted" and William "Tod" Murphey; his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Jan Murphey Guilbeau and his brother, Paul Murphey.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12:00 pm until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations can be made to St. Jude Children''s Research
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
