The Life of Henry M Joyner Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette for Henry M. Joyner, Jr., 85, who died on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his residence in Lafayette.

Reverend Ann Sutton of Northwood United Methodist Church, will officiate the graveside services.

Survivors include three daughters; three sons; twenty-nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Tessa Bonin; and one brother, Joseph Joyner.

Henry M. Joyner, Jr. was born on December 29, 1928 in Garysburg, North Carolina and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for over 65 years. He was a member of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Mr. Joyner worked as an aviation mechanic for PHI for over 41 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hiking and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Joyner will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery from 9:00 AM until time of graveside services.
