The Life of William Elton Level

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, for William Elton Level, 90, who passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his residence.
Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the services.
Interment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
William, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the son of the late Aaron Level and the former Evangeline Thurston.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty two years, Ellen M. Level; his son, Ronald Level and his wife Makiko; his stepson Stephen J. Oats and wife Sylvia; his stepdaughter, Kathleen Duplechin and husband David; grandchildren, John Level and wife Linda, Kiyomi L. Bramlett and husband Ryan; his one great grandchild, Boston Bramlett; and one brother, R. T. Level, and his sister in law Mildred Level
William was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Shauna Level Edds, and six brothers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday April 15, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening. Visiting hours will continue on Wednesday April 16, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Oats, Ron Level, John Level, Patrick McIntire, Frank Taylor and Jerry Sibille.
Memorial contributions can be offered to the Hospice of Acadiana Foundation, 2600 Johnston Street., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA, 70503-3240 and to the St. John’s Capital Campaign Fund 515 Cathedral Street, Lafayette, LA 70501-6701.
