The Life of Nemour J Provost

CHANDLER, AZ - Nemour J. Provost, 90, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Louisville, KY and Lake Charles, LA, departed from this life on December 23, 2013. Nemour — called by friends and family as N.J. or "Junior" — served in World War II and worked as a finish carpenter in Lake Charles, La before retirement in 1985. Born in New Iberia, LA on June 21, 1923, he moved to Lafayette, LA where he married Nelda Mae Hebert. In 1954 he and Nelda moved to Lake Charles, LA where they raised their children David and Lori Provost. In 1998 they moved to Louisville, KY to be near their family. Finally, he followed his children once again to Arizona in 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Nelda H. Provost, his father Nemour Provost, his mother Lelia Borel Provost and his brothers Douglas and Oswald Provost. Nemour is survived by his son and daughter-in-law David and Pat Provost of Mesa, AZ, his daughter and son-in-law Lori and Kirk Reynolds of Gilbert, AZ, and his grandchildren Ryan Provost, Kimberly Provost and Amber Reynolds Skelley, and a great grandson, Rand Matyas Provost. He was a devoted husband and a loving and caring father.
