The Life of Mildred Joyce Welp
Funeral Services will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers on Monday, March 3, 2014, at 11:00 am for Joyce V. Welp, 80, who passed away on Saturday March 1, 2014 at 4:10 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Richard Humphries, Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joyce, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the daughter of the late Harry Vick and the former Agnes Hostetter.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years William Welp, her daughters, Pamela W. Fontenot and husband Jeffery Fontenot, Sharon W. Fruge'' and husband Robert E. Fruge`, and Kathleen W. Hendricks; seven grandchildren, Cory Fontenot and wife Brittany, Matthew Fontenot and wife Marae, Jordan Fontenot, Meghan Fruge` Granger and husband Christopher, Laura Furge`, Erin Fruge`, and Alex Hendricks; and one great grandchild, Lilly Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 9:30 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Jeffery Fontenot and Robert Fruge`, Grandsons, Cory Fontenot, Matthew Fontenot, Jordan Fontenot, and Alex Hendricks.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations in the name of Joyce Welp be made to Asbury United Methodist Church 101 Live Oak Drive Lafayette, LA 70503.
