The Life of Keith W. Hendrick

Memorial Services will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 am for Keith Wesley Hendrick, 63, who passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:39 am at Lafayette General Regional Medical Center.
Reverend John Wamsley, Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church will conduct the funeral services.
A private burial will take place at a later date at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Keith, a resident of Lafayette, LA was the son of the late John O. Hendrick, Jr. and the former Kathryn Keith.
Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Keith’s interests in amateur Ham Radio began when he was eleven years old; he had a great passion for his experiences and acquaintances through his years as being a Ham Radio Operator, “WA5ISZ” or recently known as “K5UFO”. Keith and his wife founded Service Communications in 1994 in Broussard, LA and was still active in the business. Keith loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends at his camp in Butte La Rose for many years and had his Ham Radio set up at his camp, as well as at his office and home. He had a great love for Mardi Gras and enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints on Sundays.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Aline “Beanie” Hendrick; his daughter, Michelle Hendrick; his son, Jeffery Hendrick; his two grandchildren, Gavin and Aubree Hendrick; his grand dog “Cubby Dog”; one nephew and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John O. Hendrick, III and his sister, Ruth H. Brunson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hendrick, Gavin Hendrick, Ed Antie, Joey Roy, Trent Romero, and Kyle Zerbe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rachel M. Romero and Mel Simon.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Cain and Allison, his nurse practitioner, and their staff for all of the care that was given to Keith, as well as the 9th floor staff of Lafayette General Medical Center.
