WILLIAM D. SYKES, 66, of Linwood, died March 15 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Mr. Sykes, born in Chester and raised in Linwood, was a freight conductor for Conrail for many years. He was a member of the Linwood Fire Co. Survivors: Sister, Evelyn Lindsey of Trainer. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 700 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, with a 10 a.m. gathering at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home, Ninth and Main Streets, Trainer. Burial: Elam Cemetery. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions: Donor’s choice.
