The Life of Martin M Margetich

MARTIN M. MARGETICH, 72, of Chadds Ford, a Korean War veteran and the owner of Precision Spray painting Co., died March 18 at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Middletown Township. Mr. Margetich was born in Chester and attended Chester High School. He was a sergeant in the Army and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1952 in the 82nd AAA, 2nd Indian head Division. He received the Bronze Star and the Korean Service Medal. Mr. Margetich owned Precision Spray Painting in Chester and Boothwyn for 29 years. He was later employed by Spitz Industries in Chadds Ford. He was a member of Elam United Methodist Church. His son, Barry, died before him. Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth A. Tonge Margetich, sons, Martin, Jr. of Concordville, Bruce D. of Malvern, Bradford T. of Landenberg, daughter, Diane Conway of Exton; brothers, Gus of West Chester, John of Boothwyn; sister, Barbara Rinaldi of Chester, eight grandchildren. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills. Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
