FLORENCE L. McDOWELL, 81, of Glen Mills section of Concord, died Sept. 23. A longtime Glen Mills resident, she liked to travel and fish.

Survivors: Husband, John C. McDowell; son, Glen Yarnell of North Carolina; stepsons, Gary McDowell of Springfield, Va., John H. McDowell of West Chester, Pa.; sister, Loretta Dunderdale of the Essington section of Tinicum; three grandchildren.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Elam United Methodist church, 1073 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills.

Visitation: 10-11 a.m. at the church. Burial: Elam United Methodist Church Cemetery.
