The Life of James Cunningham Jackson

JAMES C. JACKSON, 85, of Linwood, a world War II veteran and stem fitter for Local 420 died Dec. 12 at Brinton Manor Nursing Home. Born in compass, Pa., Mr. Jackson resided in Linwood for more than 50 years. A World War II veteran, he was a 1st Class ship fi8tter Seabee in the U.S. Navy y. He went on to work as a steam fitter for Local 420 for 35 years. Mr. Jackson was a member of American Legion Post 951 of Ogden, VFW Post 928 of Folsom, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Boothwyn, and the American Legion. Mr. Jackson was married 50 years to Ida M. Sykes Jackson, who died in 1998. He was the brother of the late Charles, Woodrow, Robert and Frank Jackson, and the late Evelyn Jenkins Survivors,: Son, James F. Jackson of Boothwyn; daughters, Lucille F. Stevens of Linwood, Evelyn E. LaSpada of Boothwyn; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Service 9 a.m. Thursday, Robert Moreland Funeral Home, Ninth and Main streets, Trainer. Visitation: After 7 tonight at the funeral home. Burial: Elam Cemetery, Glen Mills, Concord.
