The Life of James Edward Johnson, Jr.

James Edward Johnson Date of Birth: December 7, 1920 Date of Death: March 31, 1968 James E. Johnson, 47, of 1650 Larkin Road, Upper Chichester, died Sunday in Sacred Heart Hospital, Chester, after several years illness. Mr. Johnson was born in Chester and lived about 15 years in Boothwyn. He retired in 1960 because of illness from Sinclair Refining Co., Trainer, where he was employed as a mechanic. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Trainer VFW Post 5546 and Farmers & Mechanics Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows 158 of Linwood. He is survived by his widow, the former Blanche Talley; a son, Gary, at home; his father, James Johnson of Upper Chichester; a brother Merle of Upper Chichester, and a sister, Mrs. Edith Wagner of Woodbury, N.J. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Maxwell-Boyer Funeral Home, 1834 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, Upper Chichester. Burial will be in Elam Cemetery, Upper Chichester. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Odd Fellows service will be 7:30 p.m.
