The Life of Clarence Le Roy Husbands

CLARENCE L. (PECK) HUSBANDS, 83, a retired employee from Sharpless Creamery, Concord, and a former baseball player, died Sunday at his home, 111 W. Dutton Mill Road, Aston. Mrs. Husbands also was a well-driller. He was a former catcher, playing with the Rockdale and Upland baseball teams. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Francis Wiley of Aston and Mrs. Martha Vickers of Woodlyn, Ridley “township; a son, Clarence Jr. of Feltonville, Chester Township; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Watkins of Wilmington, Del. and Mrs. Lulu Blittersdora of Avondale; 10 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Maxwell-Boyer Funeral Home, 1834 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, Upper Chichester. Burial will be in Elam Cemetery, Elam.
