The Life of RAYMOND FORD MORELAND

William Ford Moreland was a well known and accomplished Pittsburgh attorney. He graduated from Yale University in 1925 and The University of Pittsburgh Law School in 1928. He began practicing law after graduation and spent his entire career in Pittsburgh. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 and he left active duty as a colonel. He was a former director of the H.H. Robertson Company and a board member of the Heinz Foundation for more than 30 years. He was treasurer of the Pittsburgh Symphony for many years and a board member from 1934 until 1980. He was also a board member of the Allegheny General Hospital, The YMCA, and the Pittsburgh Boys Club. He served as President of the Board of Trustees of Shadyside Hospital from 1965 until 1969. He was a member of the Shadyside Presbyterian Church, the Duquesne Club, The Fox Chapel and Pittsburgh Golf Clubs, and the Rolling Rock Club. He was president of the board of managers of Allegheny Cemetery and was instrumental in the construction of the Temple of Memories mausoleum. The The Raymond F.
