I have know Joe for over 50 years. He was a neighbor when I was younger. In 1980 he again became a neighbor to my parents. He was a kind, God loving man. He lived a Christian life and set examples for everyone. He was there to help everyone in there time of need. My husband and I sang in the KIC''s with Joe and enjoyed praising the Lord in song. Joe loved to laugh. His stories were priceless. Several of us Elam girls had a history of getting caught in the act of things happening. Sandi, Arlene, Debbie, myself and others, know how he would just laugh at these stories. What fun it was to sit and laugh with him. He was a great neighbor to my elderly parents. Helped my Dad in anyway he could. After Dad passed, and w moved my to an assisted living facility, Joe, even with his oxygen unit, would come cheer her up. That was his mission and calling from God. Joe, you leave an amazing legacy. That''s how we remember you. Well done good and faithful servant.
