The Life of Edward Panko

EDWARD PANKO, 78, of Concord, a high-voltage assembler for General Electric Co., died April 12 at home. Born in Philadelphia and raised in the city’s Meadows section, Mr. Panko made his home in Concord since 1973. Previously, he was a resident of the Holmes section of Ridley Township. Mr. Panko was employed by GE in Southwest Philadelphia for 38 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and cooking. Mr. Panko was a Navy veteran during the Korean War era. He was the widower of Frances Panko who died in 1007, the son of the late John and Anna Costic Panko, and the brother of the late Walter, Nicholas, Peter and Joseph Panko and Ann Matteo. Survivors: Son, Edward d. Panko of Concord; sister, Frances Bonnett; five grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk ‘Road, Bethel.
