LYNN H.
Born April, 10, 1937, in Saskatoon, Canada. Beloved wife of Jay Rayvid; and mother of Rachel (Rayvid) Paul and Lisa McCracken; grandmother of Erica and Joseph Paul and Jennifer and Michael McCracken. Lynn worked all her life to bring beauty, humor, justice, and order to her family and her community. She was a political activist, that helped to bring school breakfasts to hungry children and dance and theatre to her community. Lynn was talented designer, a champion flower arranger, and a loving wife and mother. Some of the Boards on which she served as an Officer or President were the Women's Association of the American Cancer Society, Women in Urban Crisis, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Guild, The Canadian Club, the Squirrel Hill Garden Club, The Pittsburgh Symphony Women's Association, National Council of Jewish Women, the founding group of the Pittsburgh Public theatre, and the Pittsburgh Ballet. She had a long varied successful business career, including Eastern Airlines, Film Model for Miami Models Agency, Founding Membership Director for The Rivers Club (Pittsburgh), Real Estate Agent, Prudential Realty and Howard Hanna. Funeral arrangements will be private. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted by the Alzheimer's Association and The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
