PETERS DONALD GUST
Age 79, of Moon Township, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Masonic Village at Sewickley. Born in Pittsburgh on January 15, 1938, he was one of four sons to the late Gust and Eleni (Tsandilis) Petropoulos. In 2003, he was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Mary (Vervilles) Peters. Beloved father of Elaine A. Peters, of Sewickley and Dianna (Randy) Eberhardt, of Monaca; cherished Papou of Mia Eberhardt; caring brother of Pete (Stella) Peters, of Sarasota, FL, the late Thomas Peters (surviving wife Joan, of FL), and the late Theodore Peters (surviving wife Stella, of Oakdale); also many adoring nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Donald had been a Postmaster for many years for the United States Post Office. Donald had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter, Mia. Visitation Sunday 2-4, 6-8 with Trisagion at 7:30 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd. Everyone please meet at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral for Funeral Service, 419 S. Dithridge St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213, on Monday at 10 a.m. Father Christopher Bender, officiating. Burial will follow in Homewood Cemetery. Because of Donald's great faith, the family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral (address above) or Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 2111 Davidson St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
