The Life of Andy Andre Brutus

Andy Andre Brutus, 40 years old, originally of Cap-Haitien, Haiti, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Andy was in the ROTC program while attending Temple University, and answered the call to duty after 911. He served in the Army; 8 years active duty and 3 years in the reserves. After the service, he became a Jack of all trades, honing his skills in various trades, from his passion and desire to help people in his neighborhood. He was a quick learner and very skilled at so many things.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, uncles Louis Ambroise, Pierre Louis Dassas, aunt Marie Ambroise, and aunt Philomene Brutus. Andy is survived by his daughter, Dita Nadria (11 years old); parents, Andre Gesner and Gladys (nee Ambroise); siblings: Charles A., Dr. Nadege A., and Daniel A.; sister in law, Anais, Brother in law Kent Durham; nieces and nephews: Sophie L. Durham, Luke S. Durham, and Aleea; aunts and uncle: Gislaine, Talamas, Sultane, Athemise, and Paulette; families Pierre, Mezedor, Bali, Meristal, Brutus, Jannot, Bazile, Dorelus, Dassas, Ambroise, as well as many other cousins and friends. Memorial Service, Friday, June 16th, at 12 noon, West Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Inc., 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Andy’s name may be made to Autism Society of America.
